Reminder, Late & Cancellation Policy

When you schedule an appointment, it is your responsibility to keep it. We will make every attempt to remind you via email or phone, but we cannot guarantee that you will receive a reminder.
Our office runs on time. If you are late for your appointment you may miss that portion of your appointment in order for us to start on time for the next patient. For massage appointments, if you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment and we can’t reach you, your therapist will be released from obligation and you will be charged for the appointment.
For massage appointments, if you miss or cancel an appointment with less than 24-hours notice, you will be charged for the visit.
For chiropractic appointments, if you miss or cancel with less than 24-hours notice, you have 24-hours from the time of the missed visit to schedule another visit within 5 business days to make up that appointment, or you will be charged for the visit.

Payment Policy

All charges are to be paid in full at the time of service. If you intend to make other arrangements, please advise the doctor/staff before your service is rendered so that those arrangements can be made.

Personal Injury Cases

Please understand that your insurance policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company. You are financially responsible for all services rendered to you in our office. We are willing to bill your auto insurance carrier directly upon proof of available medical-payment coverage. You are personally responsible for missed/cancelled visit charges.

Personal Responsibility Policy

Acorn Wellness Center is in no way responsible for the safekeeping of my personal belongings while I am in an appointment or session. I understand that services and classes at Acorn Wellness Center may be physically strenuous and I voluntarily participate in them with full knowledge that there is risk of personal injury, property loss, or death.

Privacy Policy

Returns Policy

We cannot accept returns on purchased items, unless an item is defective.  In this case please contact us to let us know, bring in the item, and we will exchange it for the same or similar item.  If you have placed an order online and you wish to cancel your order prior to picking it up, please call our office at (510) 452-2929.

Environmental Sustainability Policy

Acorn Wellness Center is a certified green business, and as such, has a commitment to maintaining practices that are as environmentally sustainable as possible. We ask that when you are here, you participate by conserving water, turning off lights when you leave the bathroom, and disposing of your waste in the least impactful way possible. Here’s the general rule for disposal: always recycle whenever possible, if not, then compost if possible, if not, then send it to the landfill.  Compost and Landfill bins are available throughout our office. For recycling, or if you have any question about what to do, please ask any of our staff.
